How this calculator works
The due date calculator uses Naegele's rule to estimate your due date:
Due Date = LMP + 280 days (40 weeks)
Where:
- LMP = First day of your last menstrual period
- 280 days = Average length of human pregnancy (40 weeks)
If calculating from conception date:
Due Date = Conception Date + 266 days (38 weeks)
Note: Only about 5% of babies are born exactly on their due date. Most babies are born within a week before or after the calculated due date.
