Calculate different types of statistical averages for a set of numbers
How to use the arithmetic mean calculator
Enter the numbers for which you want to calculate the averages. You can add as many numbers as you like. After entering all numbers, click "Calculate" to see the results.
Types of calculated averages
- Arithmetic Mean: The sum of all values divided by the number of values.
- Geometric Mean: The n-th root of the product of n positive numbers.
- Harmonic Mean: The reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of the reciprocals of the values.
- Median: The central value of an ordered data set.
- Mode: The value that appears most frequently in a data set.
Measures of dispersion
- Range: The difference between the largest and smallest value in the set.
- Variance: Measures the dispersion of values relative to the arithmetic mean.
- Standard Deviation: The square root of the variance, indicating how spread out the values are around the mean.
